2017 Midlothian Bond Referendum
Impact On Taxpayers: No New Taxes

The Mayor, City Council and members of the Citizens Planning Group felt it was important to painstakingly analyze all financial data, traffic reports and community expectations during the review process.

In addition, all meetings were open to the public to make sure as many residents as possible had the opportunity to provide their input and make sure we looked for every possible cost savings.

After four months of deliberation, the Citizens Planning Group narrowed the bond package to the highest priority capital projects so that Midlothian residents will not see a tax increase with its passage. The bond package will be financed with our existing tax base and the future growth of our community.
